Vivo V7 Review: Only for selfies

06:11:00

Now after the dual cameras, there are smartphones with Trend Bezal Lace Display. Weibo, China's smartphone maker. The company has launched its flagship smartphone V7 Play with a lesser bezel display. In the review of this smartphone, we will try to know whether this smartphone really meets the expectations or not.

Build quality
Like Vivo's last smartphone, it also has build quality solids. The phone is of metal body, so it seems premium. The antenna lines are upwards and the antenna lines are not traditionally placed but you will see a change here.
There is Silver lining on the edge of the antenna and you might like it. Apart from this, its backyard is curved and it is sharp on the edge. There is a camera bump right next to the Dual LED flash. This time, the company has decided to give fingerprint scanner on back  and not to the front.

The other smartphone has fingerprint scanner rounds, but it has a square.
Let me tell you a fact, Vivo is the first company to present fingerprint scanner technology inside the display. It was expected that the technology would be seen in it, but it is not so.
Volume rocker is on the same side of the as that of  lock and it is not as solid as it should be. If you use you probably will not like it. Because the volume rocker and the lock are used most commonly. Matt Black variant affects and it looks great.
The absence of USB type C is a bit strange. It has a micro USB connector. Since the other companies are now giving the USB Type C connector in this segment, its scarcity will definitely fall.

The display
The specialty of this smartphone is its display. The company has made every possible effort to keep Bezal at least. Using it, you will feel that it is big enough. The display looks bigger than the phone, because it has not been given bezel.

The display is bright and in the sun you can use it comfortably, there will be no problem. Although the screen will look slightly dull. Since the length of the screen is more due to low bezel, so if you use it, the screen will be stretched.
The resolution of the screen is full HD and the screen is 2.5D curved which makes it easy to use. This beige lace display can be called effective in terms of this segment. Because the smartphones with no bezel display in the market are low and most are expensive.

Performance
This is a budget smartphone but meet high-end processors, but it has a Qualcomm's processor
Multi-tasking is easy. It is also easy to go from one app to another. But difficult happens when you open many apps at the same time. Here the smartphone is a bit behind.
Because the second smartphone of this segment is fine. As we mentioned earlier, multi-tasking is easy, that is, if you are playing Asphalt and minimizing it, using another app, it is quite easy. The software navigation keys can be switched around depending on your preference, and you can hide them altogether. If you choose to do so, you swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to go one step back or to the home screen, but oddly there’s no provision to access recent apps this way. Funtouch OS unfortunately does away with Android’s native split screen mode in favour of Vivo’s own Smart Split feature, which currently only supports Google Play Movies, MX Player, Youtube, Facebook, WhatsApp, and the video, messages, file manager, and calculator apps.
The V7 also has a face recognition feature, to unlock it when you raise it to your face. It works well even in not-so-great ambient lighting, but fails to work in low light. There’s a toggle for ‘Quick recognition’, which is less secure, and Vivo points out that it can be fooled by a picture or video of the registered face. However, we weren’t able to fool it with a picture when we tried. Turning ‘Quick recognition’ off means that it will take a bit more time to unlock the phone.

You get all the customisation options that we’ve seen before in Vivo smartphones including the ability to clone apps, a one-handed mode, and motion gestures. There are also a host of pre-installed third-party shopping, Internet and multimedia apps but thankfully, you can get rid of all of them.

The camera
Along with this smartphone being a beeled lace, it is also Selfie Centric Device. For Selfie, it has a 24-megapixel front camera. The trends have changed, at one time the companies did not even give a 24-megapixel camera in the rear of their smartphones. This is probably the first smartphone in the Indian market, with a 24-megapixel selfie camera placed on the front.

The camera interface is similar to Vivo's other smartphones. We have used different modes of this. It also has a beautification mode which does not affect. Although selfie is good on normal mode. This smartphone has been given a good feature for Group Selfie.
It has also been given panorama mode for selfies. That is, you can move the camera to take group selfies. All people can be self-clicks through this mode, no matter how many people are in the group.

Battery
In mixed use, you can run it one day, but if you are a power user i.e. doing gaming and taking this selfie photography all day, the battery will end soon and will not last one day.
Overall, except for its display, design, build quality and selfie camera, there are not enough things to impress in it. Its price seems a bit more expensive than the top. If you are Selfie Lover and watch videos and movies on mobile then this can prove to be better for you.

Conclusion
In our experience with the Vivo V7, we found that the front camera does a good job of taking selfies, and the design is familiar but still more manageable compared to the V7+. Battery life is also good, despite the slight reduction in capacity. On the other hand, the competition is pretty fierce, and so a plastic body and HD screen don't really cut it anymore. Vivo’s interface is also starting to feel dated , and it's time the company overhauled it and also made it lighter.
